LOCAL GOVERNMENT – HAMILTON PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE

Complete new vision for this Performing Arts Auditorium a change in mood. Argyle Maintenance Service was proud to win at tender and be part of the transformation of the beautiful Shire asset. A complete change of colour altered the mood from light and airy to mystic and dreamy. Works included painting the ceiling off of a stepped floor, a special scaffolding was employed to work safely across the floor extending upward as the works reached ground level. Argyle Maintenance Services received a loud “round of applause” from the client, peformers, performance attendees and the Hamilton Community for the outstanding transformation of this prized Shire asset. Argyle Maintenance Services excel at the difficult and unsual painting projects that other companys do not want to take on, our Project Managers, Supervisor and Tradespersons always find a way to get an out of the ordinary project completed … on time and on budget.

BODY CORPORATE – BAYSIDE TOWNHOUSE COMPLEX

Complete external painting of large beach side townhouse complex. Project included painting of timber, render, windows, doors, deck railing, spouting and downpipes. In a harsh oceanside environment preparation and use of appropriate paint products are of the upmost importance not only to maintain the look but to protect building components. With large residential complexes such as this working with the individual owners and tenants is critical to achieving a beautiful long lasting result with the least amount of inconvenience requires planning and communication.

Complete external painting and various carpentry repairs to this historically listed Town Hall. Three story rural town hall requiring repairs to timber components to match existing, minor roof and flashing repairs, flag pole replacement, clock painting and painting with specialised paint to closely match the materials used at the time of it’s construction. The project was futher complicated with High Voltage Power Lines requiring the power provider to re-route power so that the surrounding buildings retained electrical power for the duration of the works. Extensive scaffolding and traffic management providing a safe working environment for staff and the public as the hall was used by the public at various times during the works. The project was completed on time and on budget to Historical Architects exacting specifications and Councils requirements. Argyle Maintenance Services excells at the difficult projects and take great pride in the restoration and completion of reviving these old center of the community assets.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT – MAFFRA SUGAR BEET MUSEUM

Complete internal and external painting, various carpentry repairs and establishment of a termite barrier around this historic sugar beet factory. Project won at tender preparation included the removal of much of the existing paintwork as it did not meed historical specifications. This community asset and museum build in 1897 rquired numerous carpentry repairs including replaceing weatherboards, windows, hardware and period mouldings to Historic Architect specifications. As has been required by rural councils in termite areas to protect their assets the area around the building was cleared, the building was treated for termites and an termite barrier was established around the building.  Painting included all internal walls and ceilings, complete external including flag pole and signage with colour as per Historic Architect specifications.

Application of anti carbonation on a new concrete bridge. Argyle Maintenance Services are the “go to” coating application specialists for many of the major infrastructure contractors in Australia. Protecting concrete and steel components of infrastructure works by applying a protective and or anti-graffiti coating not only provides a more appealing aspect to the works it saves the taxpayers money in maintenance in the long term. These projects require qualified High Risk tradespersons, flexibility as components require coatings as the project progresses and on occasion in factory coating prior to erection.

Historically Listed Rocket Shed on the foreshore at Port Albert timber building in extreme environment that required extensive repairs internally and externally, complete painting internally including timber floors, externally, termite treatment, termite barrier and landscaping. The harsh foreshore environment over a long period of time had a severe detrimental effect on this historical community asset. Extensive framing, window replacement, external and internal lining boards replacement were all required prior to painting. Shrubbery removed and a termite barrier was installed around the building. The highest quality paint was applied post repairs to provide long term protection from the elements.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT INFRASTRUCTURE – JOEL JOEL BRIDGE

Preparation and Coating of steel support structure for timber bridge over the Wimera River. This project, won at tender, had significant site related issues and Authorities involvement i.e. environmentally sensitive area, work over a water course, traffic management and surrounding landowners all required to be addressed. Preparation was the key which included sandblasting, power tool, hand and solvent cleaning and rust removal all to VicRoads Standards. The works were subject to numerous Authority inspections and approvals throughout the process. Rust treatment followed by 3 coats of highly durable paint as per specifications. An approved Environmental Management Plan was required to in place and strictly adhered to during the works, de-mobilisation and clean up. This is a well-travelled rural road, these roads and the bridges such as Joel Joel, are major Local Government maintenance issues and high quality workmanship with great attention to detail are what is required for long term protection and reduced maintenance costs to the ratepayers.

COMMERCIAL RETAIL – 578 MAIN ST. MORDIALLOC

Complete external painting of a 2 Level Shop and Apartment. Project located in a High Voltage Electric NO GO ZONE requiring consultation and organization with the local power supply company to make safe the area for erecting scaffolding and working on that scaffolding. Various repairs and patching were required prior to painting along with traffic and pedestrian management while the shop remained open during the works.

Complete internal painting of this historically listed building now housing a museum displaying artifacts and memorabilia from the Beechworth vicinity. This project required careful attention as many of the items could not be moved off site for painting and needed to be moved around to complete the painting. This historical asset, as expected, had all the nooks and crannies, arches, deep window sills and timber doors Argyle Maintenance Services excels at bringing these assets back to the pristine finish they had when built, working with Heritage Architects, Local Government, Historians, and community stakeholders to achieve a long lasting and as close to original as specified asset all can be proud of.

Complete external painting of the majestic historically listed Town Hall the center piece of the Swan Hill Community. Painted to exacting historical architect specifications including render patching and replacement. The Hall remained open for gatherings and events throughout the works period. With 4 frontages, 2 on the main road requiring traffic and pedestrian management 1 a small access alleyway and 1 with a neighbouring building access had to planned and addressed daily. We work with Councils, Heritage Architects and Stakeholders to provide the best possible original feature outcomes providing the community with an asset they can be proud of
